I prefer to shun the IEC binary prefixes and just use K, M, G etc. Context tells you that 1K=1024 and Ki is just redundant and/or treating the reader like an idiot.

Apparently, not everyone agrees. Also, I don’t really care about IEC/SI prefixes in this use case, I want to know whether the file is 10kB, 1MB or 10MB.
