Usually, this is when I get a file from someone else, and the person who wrote it does not know LaTeX very well. Fortunately, the errors in such files are usually quite predictable and repeatable.

(I’m definitely not a fan of GTD – I already have a religion, and much better one – and in fact I’m abusing this feature to include not only “stuck” projects. But that’s another story.)
